Gokenkan 剛拳館

Mr. Iha began his study of Gojuryu Karate-do in 1939 under Grandmaster Chojun Miyagi. Upon the passing of Miyagi Sensei, Mr. Iha began assisting Eiichi Miyazato Sensei at Miyagi's Garden Dojo. Mr. Iha, assisted Miyazato Sensei with establishing the Jundokan Dojo in 1957 and the OGKK in 1969.

Mr. Iha opened his own dojo the Seidokan in 1971, while continuing to assist  Miyazato at the Jundokan. He was featured in Miyazato’s book in 1978 and began teaching internationally in 1995.

Mr. Iha is a Hanshi 10^th Dan and has held the following positions;

1969-1999 Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do Kyokai, Vice-Chairman
1993 All Japan Karate-do Federation (Goju style), Advisor
2000 Okinawa Prefecture Karatedo Federation, Director
2000-2004 Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do Kyokai, Chairman
2004 Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do Kyokai, Honorary Chairman
